Dear Kathy,

Hello! I read the Uknow article about you while I was down in Pacific Palisades visiting my family. It was a great article and I'm really glad I picked up the magazine.

I am a huge book fiend. I've wondered if you could share some of your favorite books (aside from what's on your site) for the prenatal time? Of course all I hear about is the infamous "What to expect when you're expecting" book - it would be fun to know what other books have inspired you and your clients.

Thanks so much,

Dyane

Dear Kathy,

Thank you so much for replying so soon.

As you can imagine, I am incredibly excited about this whole new time. When my doctor called me yesterday @ work to confirm my pregnancy, I screamed (a happy scream) in the office. :) I work in a very pro-baby office, so they understood.

On an interesting sidenote, my general doctor is 6 mos. pregnant with her 1st child. She said she surprised herself by opting for selecting to go with midwives instead of an OBGYN. I thought that was really cool. I live in Santa Cruz, where midwives & doulas are very popular, so I look forward to researching this option.

Thanks for being there and for your willingess to answer questions. What a wonderful site. And I am excited to read your next Uknow contribution. Take care!
