i tried breastfeeding

when he was born i breast feed and tried to stay tru to it for awhile i went about 2 weeks, but my little 8.8lb linebacker is a very very very vigorous sucker IT BECAME TO PAINFUL i visted with two lactation nurses who said he sucks to hard.So after 2 weeks of absoutlt misery (other than i enjoyed the fact of the closeness) i swithed to a bottle. :( The ped said 4 oz every three to four hours however he doesnt seem satified he sucks his fist cries and wont sleep so i give him another oz now hes happie. but now he also like a dang pinky.Now he feeds every three to four hours and it vaires between 2-5 oxzs. Is this all normal and how bad to you think it is for him no longer breastfeeding? ps, how long will my chest hurt , my breast are killing me and leaking everywhere?
