Hi
Our 10 day old is a great sleeper during the day but at night when mom and i are hoping to get some sleep she doesn't want to co-operate. During the day she nurses for about 30-40 minutes every 2 - 2.5 hours and then sleeps till the next feed. Often times we have to wake her to feed her.
Come night time though and everything changes. The baby could nurse for up to 60-70 minutes (30 minutes per breast) and she really seems to be bursing well. When she is finished nursing she still exhibits all her normal feeding cues. Fist in mouth, restless, crying moving head back and forth with her lips pursed. All of these are quite endearing but by this time my wife has little/nothing left ot offer so we have taken to giving her 2oz of formula. This takes a long time to give her because she doesn't particularly seem to like formula or the bottle. All i nall it can take about 3 hours to get to go back to sleep for the night.
Are there any tips you can offer us to help get our little fdarling into a better routine ?
