My baby is almost seven weeks old and every night at around 10pm she cries for an hour or two. She calms down for a little but then she starts up agian and I don't know what to do. Is this what they call colic? She seems to be eating right although sometimes I think she eats too much but what worries me more is the fact that she cries every night and it's always at the same time. She does wake up later at night to eat, but she eats and goes right back to sleep. She eats and sleeps during the day too but doesn't cry like at night. Please heeelp because I don't know what to do. I also saw that someone was using mylecon or Gripe Water and I would like to know what it is. Thank you

Hi,
Don't worry it just sounds like that is your baby's fussy time, most babies have a fussy time, it's usually around the early evening although it can be anytime of the day or night! Just be thankful it's not in the middle of the night!! :)
They just seem to need to let of steam for some reason!! Nothing to worry about!!

As for the Mylicon & Gripe Water that is for gas and tummy pains, you could give it a try although I doubt it would make any difference, your baby just needs to cry!!

Hope this helps

Thank you very much for your reply. I guess I just worry because she is my first and sometimes I don't know if I'm doing things right.

That is weird, all three of my babies got really fussy around 9pm, but were fine after they cried a little while. Try getting something that makes "white sound" Both my boys loved the white sound machine, mine was made by ConAir, it had ocean sounds, crickets, waves, rain, and just plain white noise. If you cannot find one, turn on the vaccum in the room, or the radio on a off station.
