I am a surrogate for a great couple that really wants to breast feed. Iam going to buy her the supplimental nursing system (SNS) by Medula, but should she also drink a mothers milk tea or take Fenugreek too? And should I take the Milk no more tea, cause I know it is going to hurt not nursing....I have three kids and have nursed them all, so I don't know how bad it will be not nursing. Thanks!

Hi,
That is so fantastic, I have worked with many couples that have used a surrogate!!! Yes absolutley get your mom the SNS & have her take the Mother's Milk Tea, she should also try and get a prescription from her doctor for domperidone, which is a drug which increases breastmilk!! Also you should absolutely take the No More Milk Tea, it helps to dry up your breastmilk, alos wear a snug bra at all times while your breatmilk is drying up!! Hope this helps!!

This is a really neat forum, I just wish there were more active people on here. I was so excited when I found this site and didn't notice how post dated the replies were. My husband is a memeber of a motorcycle forum and I was pretty excited to find a forum I could get into, since I have three of my own kids and am doing a surrogacy. I will keep checking back for new replies and I told everone in my surrgoate support e-mail list about this site too. ^_^

<sigh> I got blasted on my surrogate site for even suggesting to my Imtended Mother than she could breast feed. They were all telling me that I should not get her hopes up. I don't think any of them have ever even seen the SNS system cause all they were talking about was how painful it was to pump with out the tight horomones. How is that getting her hopes up, at least she is still getting to breast feed and the baby is still getting fed at the same time with the tubes. I would rather have her try and enjoy the trying, then not to try at all. <sigh>

I totally agree, it's better for her to get the enjoyment and the close bonding while the baby is still getting fed!!!
