milk protein colitis ???

[FONT=Times][SIZE=7][COLOR=blue]My son has milk protein colitis. he is 2 months old and weights 10lbs. there is blood in his stool and it comes and goes every now and again. it's not like runny blood it's looks more mucisy than regular blood and theres very little. I am going to bring it up to the doctor agian but I wanted to ask if you knew anything on it and if you could assist me in this question?

Hi,
It sounds like he's allergic to dairy!! So if you are breastfeeding I would cut out all dairy from your diet and see how that goes!! If he is on formula try changing his formula to Enfamil Nutramagin or Similac Alimentum and see if he improves with either of those!! Hope this has helped!!

I already tried changing formula and it's not all the time, It only seems to happen when he has gas. which he gets quit often but not always. He has a doctors appointment on the 22nd and i plan on asking a bunch of questions about it thankyou for your response. It's nice to have a site like this where you can ask questions and get them answered soon after you ask the question. thank you again
