Hi

We have been feeding our baby girl cereal & fruit since she was 4 months and veggies since 5 months. She loved the fruit and the cereal and most vegetables. She had gotten to the stage where she was eating 2-3 cubes of veggie (carrot, potato, sweet potato, turnip ....) every evening and was really loving it. Recently she has just refused to eat any vegetables. She blows/spits out the food sometimes without even tasting it. Also just clamps her mouth shut refusing to take it or else slaps the spoon away. She was doing so well - I wonder why she has changed.

Two things that I can think of that have changed in her routine that seem to coincide with this change in bahaviour are that she has started getting teeth (2 front top and 2 front bottom) and we also switched from 6 5oz bottles to 5 6oz bottles.

Any help or advice is always welcome
Brendan

Hi,
Yes it's becasue she is teething!! Sometimes babies can refuse solids or bottle or both because it may hurt their gums... Keep trying but don't force it because you don't want her to associate it with something that hurts!!
Hope this helps!!
