Antibiotics and Breastfeeding

Hi Kathy,
I started taking Augmentin three days ago and I am breastfeeding and I think that it may be affecting my baby becasue he has diaherra. Is this normal and ok???

Hi Jen,
Yes antibiotics tend to do that because they kill all the good flora in our intestines. Don't worry about it, that normal and it will likely subside in a day or two when your baby's digetive system get used to them.
