Nipple Shields

I have been using a nipple shield from day 1 and my son is now 5 weeks old. He is doing great...gaining weight and supply seems good. I have been getting mixed input from pediatrician and LC about the shield. One says it will decrease my supply and the LC says...use it it's great for me! My son MAY also have tongue-tie...but I don't want to clip his frenulum.

My question is this: anyone using the shield? How long? Any problems??

Hi,
I used a nipple shield with my first son and I used it for 3 months, we had no problems with it although many people do not recommend using it for that long.
