Hey Kathy,

Maybe my post should be relocated to the sleep section? Well, sometimes my baby sleeps 10 hours at night but then is up a lot during the day. Yesterday, she was up from 1pm to 7pm without taking any lengthy naps. For example, I would nurse her and soothe her and as a result, she would fall asleep on me. However, when I placed her in the crib she would wake up almost immediately and be all smiles and giggles. I am just concerned that she isn't sleeping enough during the day. By the way, I should mention to you that my baby is 12 weeks old. But, she was born 4 weeks premature so she is only hitting the milestones of an 8 week old baby.

I look forward to hearing your response. Thank you for your time!

Best,
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,
Well it is greeat that your baby is sleeping so well at night time, but we do need to get her to sleep at nap times too. Let me ask you some questions so i can give you an accurate response.
1. Do you breastfeed or is she formula fed?
2. Does she go to sleep on her own at night?
3. Do you rock her to sleep?
4. How dark is her room on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being pitch black.
5. Does she sleep in her crib or a bassinet or with you?
6. Does she have a sound machine in her room?

Get bakc to me wiith these answers and then I will come up with a plan for you ok.

Thanks
Kathy
