Gas!!

My three month old has moved past colic and just has occassional but HORRIBLE bouts with gas. They happen once or twice a day and can last anywhere from ten minutes to a half hour (he cries hysterically and gets red in the face). I bottle feed and have switched to a low iron formula. This helped a little. Also, we have tried the gas drops and they seem to have lost their effect. Other than this, he is a great baby. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My baby used to get gas after every feed. She would scream for 1/2 hour to a full hour and then do a huge burp and it would be over with.

Just by chance I carried her around one day facing her out with my arm across her waist holding onto her opposite leg. This puts a small amount of pressure on her stomach. It only took a couple of minutes of walking around doing house-work before she burped and was happy. I now never hold her any other way and she never cries from wind.
