Goopy eyes

My son is now 3 weeks old and has had yellow goop in his eyes almost every single time he wakes up. Has anyone else had this problem or could it be possible my son is coming down with something?

Hi,
It sounds like your son has a blocked tear duct and here is what you should do:
massage the corner of his eye closest to the bridge of his nose at every opportunity that you get, if you are breast feeding put a little breast milk in his eye morning and night, and use sal-wipes to keep it clean, remember to wipe from the inside corner out.
