My baby slept through the night last night! He went to sleep at 9pm, ate at 12am, then didn't get up until 7:30am this morning. It was so wonderful. However, I am concerned because he was already acting sleepy at 8:30am so I put him down and he is still sleeping (it is 10am now). How long do I let him nap now? I want to make sure he sleeps through the night again. Any advice is appreciated!

It is wonderful when your baby sleeps all night...depending on how old your baby is will determine their sleep requirements...when my daughter started sleeping through the night is when she started having more structured nap times--babies will sleep better all day and at night once they have gotten enough sleep--if they are well rested they tend to sleep longer for naps, but are more alert and ready to play at other times...my daughter was 13weeks or so when she slept through the night the first time--she slept from midnight to 7am and then took a nap at 930-11 or so, then another nap at 1pm till 3 or so and another from 5-630 or so then back in bed at 9pm up at 12 and slept till 7 again---but there were large awake times that weren't there before.

Hi,
Congratulations!!! Your baby slept through the night!!!! You should let him sleep as much as he likes throughout the day because sleep begets sleep. It doesn't work like that, the more sleep a baby gets and needs the better. So congratulations and good luck!!!
